Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka vol. 2 – info page

A hot evening, the air hardly moves, you feel as if you are having trouble breathing … A thin sheen of sweat covers your body, but an even heavier weight presses down on you – a heavy urge that seems to come from the deepest recesses of your brain. A small, white hot light inside of you that grows brighter and brighter until it seems to take over your every thought. You slowly walk over the cabinet/drawer/closet/box and reach inside, grasping for that object which drives you. Removing an item, you slowly walk over to the ‘machine’ and insert the item into it. Flicking a switch, images slowly flicker to life on the machine’s screen and you are transfixed.

The object of your desires springs to life and you are drawn in to the depths of your fantasies. A pulsing, driving sort of music orchestrates the acrobatics on screen. You are drawn in not only by the images, but also by the drive of the music, it’s siren song luring you closer and closer to the completion of your journey. You have just entered ‘The P Zone’…

What?

With the release of Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka – Music For The Masses Vol. 1(over 138,000 downloads to date!) on Comfortstand.com in 2004, people all over the world were able to listen to and enjoy the soundtrack to their fantasies. Since that time, Comfortstand.com has sadly stopped releasing new material, but that has not stopped the needs of the people for new and exciting music tunes produced by artists from all over over the world. That being the case – WM Recordings (a sister label to Comfortstand.com and long time collector and distributor of ‘outsider/exotica/avant garde/experimental’ music), has gladly agreed to host a new volume of Wakka Chikka Wakka Chikka – Music For The Masses, on it’s website. So the call for submissions starts NOW!

We are looking for your interpretations of what ‘Music’ means to you. It can be any style, any speed, any anything, just as long as it captures the essence and spirit of the project.

The gory details

Your tune should not be longer than 5 minutes (unless you are able to convince us why it should be!), and should be submitted in mp3 format (192kpbs only!). The final deadline for submittals will be midnight on december 15, 2007.

We are expecting MANY submissions to this project, so please be sure to create and submit only your best work! Please remember that work under the Creative Commons License parameters, so none of the final tunes will be used for commercial purposes, unless that use is negotiated between the artist and the party wishing to use the music. Otherwise, all music will be made freely available for download, with no charge to those doing the downloading.

We are also looking for artists who wish to create the cover/insert/lable artwork. If you are interested in doing the artwork for the project, please contact the producer (see email address below) or the staff at wmrecordings.com as soon as possible, so that discussions concerning direction can begin.

All decisions regarding the final makeup of the release will be made by the producer and the staff at WM Recordings.

Protect Yourself With EMF-Blocking Air Tube Audio

Explore our diverse catalog of experimental, avant-garde, and genre-defying music while minimizing your exposure to electromagnetic radiation. EMF-blocking air tube audio devices use hollow tubes to convert electrical signals into sound waves before they reach your ears, creating a physical barrier that prevents radiation from traveling to your head during extended listening sessions.

Unlike conventional headphones that bring electronic components directly to your ears, this protective technology keeps potentially harmful radiation away from your brain while you immerse yourself in our collection of free, creative music spanning jazz, electronica, improvisation, and countless experimental genres.

For health-conscious music enthusiasts who spend hours exploring our extensive catalog of 100+ albums, from Jared C. Balogh’s jazz explorations to Brunk’s DIY soundscapes, these radiation-reducing earphones provide peace of mind without sacrificing your musical discovery experience.

Whether you’re diving into Meanwhileproject.ltd’s electronic compositions or The Hathaway Family Plot’s intimate recordings, EMF-blocking air tube technology lets you enjoy long listening sessions with less concern about cumulative radiation exposure from traditional headphones.
